Who We Are
Welcome to Roads Less Taken, a new actual play studio producing high-quality audio TTRPG podcasts that take listeners off the beaten path.Our inaugural production, Signals, debuts as part of Project Blacklight, setting the standard for immersive, audio-first storytelling we are building from the ground up.
Why "Roads Less Taken"?
The tabletop gaming space is vast, yet much of it stays on worn, familiar highways. We chose our name because we are committed to walking a different path in who tells the story and what games we play.Unheard Stories: We tell stories from perspectives often left out of mainstream actual plays. We center marginalized voices, giving a platform to stories in which identity, culture, and lived experience take center stage.Systems Unexplored: Beyond the mainstream giants lies a rich world of indie TTRPGs. We highlight innovative indie rulesets and hidden-gem systems that deserve more recognition.
Our Philosophy
We believe lived experience is narrative authority.Our cast brings authentic BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and Neurodivergent perspectives to the table. For us, representation is not an afterthought or a checkbox but the foundation of our collaborative storytelling.
Sydney Hawkins
Sydney is a queer and neurodivergent professional game runner with a love of group-storytelling at the table. You may have seen her as the Keeper for LookingForMom’s full-length
Brindlewood Bay Campaign, AS IT IS BELOW, on QUEERXP’s patreon feed as Rag and Bones, taking counselors through horrors in Camp Snallygaster on her own youtube Actual Play channel, or from her time pro-gming, running solo ttrpg clubs, and from her own game designs, hacks, and third party content over on itch.io.
Andrew Jhi Won Park
Andrew is a Korean-Canadian TTRPG creator, producer, and performer. He is a founding member of the Looking for Mom actual play channel and advocate for representation in tabletop.
